Happy Monday Everyone!
It seems rain went away from Vancouver, at least for few days,…so far so good!
By the time I realized I have to start my “de-weeding” program in the front and backyard, springs blooms are already in full here!
So past week-end – for a full day Saturday and Sunday I prepared the flower beds for spring.
The sun is shining right now, so I decided to share with you some pics here and there.
Look at these colors bursting everywhere!! A mix of yellow and white and purple that just makes the garden alive and brought a welcome splash of color after the grey hues of winter!
Snowdrops emerged from undisturbed ground, hyacinth is showing its head and tulips have their leaves fully out in the open.
Well, this year I wanted to be ahead of the game so we ordered 3 cubic yards of red mulch. Can you imagine?? 3 full yards – a full (smaller) truck it was!
My plan is to get all the weeds out and cover the flower beds with mulch.
I started two week-ends ago, but so far I only finished the front and some of the backyard.
Good thing during winter I tried to keep up with the leaves raking, so at least I won’t have any raking left coming spring.
So today after work guess what I will do? Continue the yard work until dark. The sun is shining right now so I thought I’d share one more photo:
Hope you will have an awesome week and enjoyed wondering with me through my garden!
